FEES

We use a time charge fee for the initial concept design stage of the process. This method is appropriate at the early stages of the project where the scope of the work and other variables are still unknown. We do, however, provide an estimate for the design work and let you know if we are getting close to reaching that figure. So you know, cost-wise, exactly where your design is at.

Once the design concept is finalised, we’re then able to provide a fixed fee for the drawings and documentation for construction and building consent requirements.

On very large or complex buildings, often the best approach for obtaining a fair project fee for both the client and designer is with the percentage fee method. This type of payment is calculated on a percentage of the entire building. But this fee structure is agreed between both parties on a case-by-case basis.

Any additional services such as tendering or project management etc. would be on a time charge basis.
